What I Wore Wednesday

10.03.2012

Thank goodness for Wednesday. The day I know what to blog about!

(I've been in a rut lately. An I can't think of a darned thing to blog about rut.)

I just love that Lindsey over at The Pleated Poppy has continued this link up for so long. Ever encouraging us mamas to keep on getting dressed, try new looks, and not give in to the pajama day-look that is so enticing sometimes.

At least not every day :)

Old Navy cardy, Target dress, thrifted jeans, Famous Footwear wedges, old Fred Meyer necklace

thrifted blouse, Target jeans, Ross belt, Famous footwear wedges

Old Navy cardy, yard sale Loft blouse, thrifted skirt, Target sandals.

(This outfit looked better in my head than in the mirror! I think next time I would tuck in the blouse and add a skinny belt)

Shade Clothing dress, Sariejune etsy store scarf, Target sandals, Maurice's bracelet

(Fave outfit of the week. And air high-five to self for figuring out how to french braid the front of my head!)

Clothes swap Old Navy cardy, thrifted tunic & jeans, thrifted suede loafers.

This brown dress/tunic/swimsuit cover/top is probably my most versatile clothing item and definitely the item I've received the most comments on over the last two years. Pretty sure it was a whopping $6.00 at the Goodwill.
Don't give up on your local thrift store! Keep trying and you'll eventually score something great!

And have a great rest of the week :)

  1. The french braid is great!! I'm going to have to figure that out myself.

    Love that white ruffly blouse.

  2. I'm loving your second look. The ruffles on your blouse and your hair pulled up makes you look so elegant and beautiful, even though you are just wearing jeans.

  3. LOVE #4! That dress is so cute and flattering and your hair looks great that way! I tried doing mine like that and it didn't look too hot...need to work on my braiding skills. :)

  8. I was going to say...that brown tunic is pretty cool looking! And thanks for the encouragement on thrift stores...I feel like I've visited and looked so often and I never find anything good in my size! I wonder how everyone else does it!

  10. I'm just now having luck at the Goodwill with clothing. I've been buying books there for years, but I think I'm getting the hang of how to dig for clothes... or I've just been lucky lately. Either way, it works for me.

Love your outfits. I come back here every week for inspiration.

  12. Still looking super cute, Jodi! Love the red dress in #1, love EVERYTHING about #2 (jeans, ruffles, up-do - perfection!), and that bargain tunic/dress/cover-up in #5 always looks great.

I really am so impressed that you take outfit pics and post every week :)
